The penultimate round of the 2010 USAC Mopar .25 Midget Championship unfolds this weekend at the Columbus (Ohio) Motor Speedway and numerous championship point races will be contested on the CMS quarter-midget oval, located behind turn two of the third-mile paved oval. The JEGS Crown Midget Supernationals event is hosted by the Buckeye Quarter Midget Association.
Competition is expected to be keen when practice opens at 9 am Saturday for all classes. Heat races and lower mains are planned during the day. The USAC Mopar National Midget, Midwest/Eastern Ford Focus and Focus Young Guns competition is slated on the third-mile oval Saturday night.
Sunday's competition features A-mains for all classes, beginning at 9:30 am. Victory Lane ceremonies will follow the final A-main, with awards being presented to the top three finishers in each class.
Point leaders entering the Columbus competition include: Chandler Smith of Fitzgerald, GA (Junior Honda and Junior Stock), Mark Miller of Mooresville, NC (Senior Honda), Caleb Cagle of Galena, OH (Heavy Honda), Tommy McCarthy of Mt. View, CA (Senior Stock), Nathan McCauley of Millersport, OH (Mod), Gage Walker of Fairland, IN and Garrett Jones of West Palm Beach, FL (Light World Formula), Katlyn Stanley of Concord, NC (Heavy World Formula and Heavy 160), Bryant Dawson of Phoenix, AZ (B), Tyler Shullick of Concord, NC (Light AA), Cooper Clouse of Ohio City, OH (Heavy AA), Michael Atwell of Naples, FL (Light 160), Michael Fanelli of Rio Rancho, NM (Heavy 160), Seth Crandall of Pickerington, OH (Junior Animal) and Ross Rankine of Willard, OH (Senior Animal).
The final round of the 2010 "Generation Next Tour" will take place September 24-26 at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio as part of the historic "4-Crown Nationals" weekend. The race will be contested on the newly-built "Little E" .25 Midget oval.

Sign-ins for the last two races will close on Friday. If you will not be able to arrive by the close of sign-ins you may make a reservation on line.
The following information will be required for your reservation:
· Race name for reservation: Jegs Crown and/or Eldora
· Handler's Name
· Driver's Name - with Class/Division - List each driver/class separately
· Contact phone number
A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you. Make a copy and bring it with you. If you do not receive a confirmation we do not have a reservation for you.
A pill will be drawn for your driver at the end of sign-ins on Friday night. You will be required to "sign-in" on Saturday morning between 8:00 - 8:30 a.m. to pay for your reservations. Any reservation(s) not paid for by 8:30 a.m. will be deleted from the racing line-ups. After that time you may enter as a "late sign-in".
E-mail reservations will close at 5:00 p.m. on the Wednesday prior to the particular race:
Jegs Crown - close at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15th
Eldora - close at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22nd
If you do not get your reservation in by the deadline and are not able to make it on Friday it will be your responsibility to have someone sign-in for you.
